Park Si-young
Park Si-young (born October 5, 1968 in Jeonju ) is a Korean political advisor and author . Since June 2019, he has headed the political consulting firm WinGKorea Consulting, which he co-founded, as CEO .
Life and work
It was 1968 in Jeonju born and spent his life until he 1988 began economics at Konkuk University in Seoul to study. The study he completed in 1992 with bachelor from.
1995 he participated actively in the election campaign in Seoul District Gwangjin-gu and then worked for a while in the district office , before he started his own business. In the presidential election in South Korea in 2002 , he campaigned for the future president, Roh Moo-hyun , starting with the area code, and contributed to his election victory. In July 2004 he was appointed chief secretary for opinion research at the Blue House and remained in office until May 2007 . In 2009 he finally founded WinGKorea Consulting together with his predecessor Lee Keun-hyung .
In the parliamentary elections in South Korea in 2016 , he foresaw that the Saenuri party , to which then President Park Geun-hye belonged, would not achieve an absolute majority , while many other opinion pollers assumed it would. After Park Geun-hye's impeachment , the 2017 presidential election took place early, where he took on a significant part of the election campaign for future President Moon Jae-in . In the subsequent local elections in 2018, he worked out the election campaign for Lee Jae-myung , who was elected governor of Gyeonggi-do , which is close to the capital . In the parliamentary elections in South Korea in 2020 , he predicted the results very precisely and helped shape the election campaign for the Joint Democratic Party , which won almost 60% of the parliamentary seats.
Park Si-young not only advises established politicians , but also looks after the next generation in the political arena. In 2016 he published the book The 19th President and 2020 Political Advisor as President Makers together with two other authors .
He is present as a permanent guest on various Korean television programs; in addition to television appearances, he has his own channel on YouTube .
