Government formation
The incumbent Prime Minister Plenković announced on July 6, 2020 that he had the support of the left-liberal HNS and Reformisti (one MP each) as well as the eight representatives of the minorities for the formation of a government. With 66 HDZ mandates, this government would have the smallest possible majority with 76 out of 151 seats. On July 23, 2020, Plenković's new cabinet, which consists of 16 HDZ ministers, one non-party minister and one minister from the SDSS , was sworn in .
