Paselich , historically also Pozdewalk or Posewalk , in Denmark also Paslick , is the name of an old Rügen noble family .

history

In 1282 Nicolaus Puzdewolk is mentioned in a document as the first member of the family in Rügen. It is generally assumed that there is a tribal relationship with the Normans , the relationship between the two sexes is undisputed, and medieval seals are identical.

The family's ancestral estate is Liddow, which was first mentioned in 1318 and in 1365 owned by Pribe Pozeuolk . The brothers Jasper , Heinrich and Jürgen auf Liddow are the last to call themselves Pozdewolk in 1510 and 1514 . The next generation appeared in 1523 under the name Paeselich .

At the end of the 16th century, Casper von Paeselich had once again united the family's Rügischen property in one hand, but Denmark also owned the Grewenschwenge and Rönnebekshagen estates . His brothers were Melchior von Paeselich († 1604), Guard Vogt on Mönchgut and the Electoral Palatinate councilor Claus von Paeselich who later also lived and died in Denmark. With Claus von Paeselich († 1627), who left only two daughters, the male line died out on Rügen.

Of his daughters was Judith († 1675), the older one in her first marriage with the governor of Rügen, Eccard von Usedom (* 1580; † 1646), in her second marriage with the Swedish court marshal , senior councilor and governor Claus Christoph von Lützow († 1669 ) married, the younger Christine Elisabeth with Joachim Christoph von Güntersberg , heir to Kalies and Baltster .

In Denmark, Friedrich von Paselich († after 1627), Casper's other son, first entered the paternal and then the fraternal inheritance. Knud Paslick is named as the last member of Denmark from 1634 to 1637 in possession of the two estates Grewenschwenge and Rönnebekshagen there.

Judith von Paeselich († 1675) was the last of her sex. She had appointed the daughters of her sister Judit von Güntersberg, married Henning von Bohlen on Bohlendorf and Christine von Günterberg, married Martin Friedrich von Ahnen on Datzow , as feudal heirs . In this way the Bohlen and the ancestors became feudal heirs of the Paeselich .
