Patrick Lussier

Patrick Lussier (* 1964 ) is a Canadian - American film editor , screenwriter and film director . His focus is on horror films. He worked with Wes Craven a lot .

Life

Lussier has been an editor since the early 1990s, initially mainly for television. An episode of the Nightmare Cafe series from 1992 marked the first collaboration with Wes Craven. Freddy's New Nightmare from 1994 was their first feature film together. Lussier made his debut as a director in 2000 with the horror film God's Army III - The Decision . The film Wes Craven presents Dracula , which he directed, was also his first work as a screenwriter. In 2015 he was involved in Terminator: Genisys as such .

In 1994 and 1995 Lussiere was nominated for a Gemini Award . At the 2011 Palm Springs International Film Festival , he was recognized in the Directors to Watch category.

Patrick Lussier is married and has a son who also works in the film business.
