Career

Walther began his football career at Traktor Dargun, a club from Dargun near his hometown. Via the stations FSV 1919 Malchin and FC Tollense Neubrandenburg , Walther came to Hansa Rostock in 2002 as a B youth , for whom he played in the B youth regional league in the following two seasons , including a game for Rostock A in 2003/04 -Jugend, who participated as a founding member in the newly introduced U-19 Bundesliga .

In 2004/05 and 2005/06 Walther belonged to Rostock's U-19s, with whom he first took third and then sixth place in the final table of their squadron. In addition, Walther made two appearances in Rostock's second men's team as an A-youth, which competed in the fourth-class Oberliga Nordost in the 2005/06 season. Although he did not play a game in the national cup himself , Walther was also part of the cup winners' squad this season. After he was fully promoted to the reserve team for the 2006/07 season of the Oberliga, Walther only made six goalless appearances during the first half of the season and was not called up in the 2006/07 DFB Cup against FC Schalke 04 . In the winter break, he left the club to join the fifth-class association division SG Warnow Papendorf.

After Walther had completed twelve missions for Papendorf in the second half of the 2006/07 season, he was signed by Dynamo Dresden in the summer of 2007 . Although Walther was also part of the Dynamos first team in the autumn of 2007, he was initially only used in Dresden's reserve, which competed in the fifth-class state league of Saxony in 2007/08 . In 2008/09, the regional league became sixth class through the introduction of the 3rd division , whereupon the Dresden second representation achieved promotion to the now fifth class Oberliga Nordost in summer 2009. In addition, the team won the Saxon State Cup after Walther scored the decisive goals for the 2-1 victory in the final against VFC Plauen . In the following league season 2009/10 Walther not only succeeded in helping his team stay fifth in the southern season, but also recommended himself for the first team in Dresden. So he came on April 27, 2010 for the first time in a professional league when he was substituted on the 28th matchday of the 2009/10 season of the 3rd division against Holstein Kiel . In the 2010/11 season , Walther was back in the regular formation of the reserve team and only played one role in the third division when he was substituted on against SV Babelsberg 03 on matchday 36 .

In the summer of 2011 he signed a two-year contract with regional league club VFC Plauen . However, he changed the club again after a year and joined the league club Budissa Bautzen . In the Oberliga Nordost 2012/13 he was runner-up with Bautzen, Walther scored 13 goals in 27 games. In the following season he was able to increase his goal rate again. With 18 goals in 29 missions, he shot Budissa Bautzen to the championship title and promotion to the regional league.

In summer 2016 he switched to SG Dresden Striesen . After one season he moved to BSC Rapid Chemnitz . In the summer of 2019 he moved back to Dresden for FV Dresden 06 .
