Paul Donald Justin (* 19th May 1968 in Schaumburg , Illinois ) is a former American American football poker players. He played quarterback for the Frankfurt Galaxy and the Indianapolis Colts .

college

Justin played quarterback at Arizona State University from 1987 to 1990 . In his last two years, he scored a total of 4,467 yards through passes . His single season result of 2591 yards, which he achieved in 1989, was a school record until 2002. Justin's performance exceeded that of the later quarterback of the Denver Broncos Jake Plummer .

Professional time

In 1991 Justin was elected by the Chicago Bears in the seventh round of the Entry Draft . In the NFL he was initially not used. Rather, he played in 1993 in the Arena Football League with the Arizona Rattlers . He's scored 45 touchdowns out of 15 interceptions that season . The Bears had meanwhile given the rights to him to the Indianapolis Colts, which sent him to the World League in 1995 , where he played for the Frankfurt Galaxy. With this team he celebrated his greatest success on June 17, 1995 . In World Bowl III he and his team defeated the Amsterdam Admirals in Amsterdam with 26:22. In front of 10,000 Frankfurt fans who traveled with him, Justin made three touchdown passes to his wide receivers Bobby Olive and Mike Bellamy . It was the first time the Frankfurt team had won the World Bowl.

In 1995 he managed to secure a place with the Colts. He was second quarterback behind Jim Harbaugh . In a game against the Green Bay Packers on November 16, 1997, he then managed to prove his class. The Packers were beaten 41:38 in a dramatic game that can also be seen on television in Germany . Justin managed to get 24 of 30 passes for a space gain of 340 yards to the man.

In 1998, Justin moved to the Cincinnati Bengals . He then signed up in 1999 with the St. Louis Rams and was replacement quarterback for Kurt Warner . Justin moved into the Super Bowl with the team trained by Dick Vermeil . In Super Bowl XXXIV , the Rams were able to defeat the Tennessee Titans with 23:16. Justin ended his career in 2001.

In his career in the NFL, he scored eight touchdowns out of 10 interceptions.

Honors

Justin was declared an MVP after winning the World Bowl in Amsterdam .
