The Koch Group AG (spelling: KOCH Group) is a second generation family company. It specializes in the sale of technical and chemical products for the construction industry and the equipment of doors with locking and escape route technology as well as access controls. It employs over 300 people and, in addition to an online shop with more than 54,000 articles , operates five branches in Switzerland .

history

In 1948 the two brothers Eugen and Paul Koch took over their parents' hardware store Gebr. KOCH in Bülach . In 1952 the two brothers specialized in the wood and plastic processing ancillary construction trade and liquidated the rest of the range of goods. In 1953 the collective company Gebr. KOCH was split up into the individual companies Paul Koch in Zurich and Eugen Koch in Weinfelden . The Eugen Koch in Weinfelden opened in 1958 a branch in St. Gallen . After moving in 1964 to a larger office building in the St. Gallen branch, the store in Weinfelden was sold in 1970. The Paul Koch in 1966 moved to Zurich's own office building in Wallisellen . The individual company Paul Koch was in 1979 in the joint stock company Paul Koch AG converted to Wallisellen. The Eugene Koch was followed in 1981 with Eugen Koch AG of St. Gallen. Additional locations were set up with KWB Beschläge AG in Bern , Paul Koch AG in Birsfelden , KWB Beschläge AG in Bulle and Fritz Blaser + Cie. AG in Basel developed. In 2015, the three companies Paul Koch AG , Eugen Koch AG and KWB Beschläge AG were renamed to Koch Group AG and a consistent market presence was implemented. In 2016, Fritz Blaser + Cie. AG also changed to Koch Group AG and took over the entire branding. Furthermore, the location in Birsfelden was relocated to Basel and fully integrated there.

Today the group is spread over five locations in Switzerland and offers over 300 people a modern workplace .

Specialized trade

In the online shop and at the five locations, more than 54,000 items such as fittings , technical and chemical products as well as associated processing aids such as tools , machines and other products are offered for all companies in the construction industry, in particular carpenters , kitchen and woodworkers as well as door and window manufacturers.

Security technology

At all locations, project teams work on the development, planning and implementation of locking systems and access controls with locking , escape and rescue route systems . This on behalf of and in cooperation with architects , general contractors and builders . The systems are installed, commissioned and maintained by service technicians .
