Paul Melot de Beauregard
Paul Richard Melot de Beauregard (* 1973 in Düsseldorf ) is a German lawyer , labor lawyer and honorary professor at the Fernuniversität Hagen .
Life
From 1994 to 1997 Paul Melot de Beauregard studied law in Munich, then until 1999 in Würzburg. During his studies he became a member of the Corps Franconia Munich in 1995 . From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a research assistant at the University of Cologne . From 1999 to 2001 he did his legal clerkship . From 2001 to 2002, she completed a master’s degree ( LL.M. Labor Law) at the London School of Economics and Political Science .
In 2001 he was at Curt Wolfgang Hergenröder at the University of Wuerzburg to Dr. iur. PhD . From 2002 to 2005 he worked as a lawyer for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Berlin, then until 2007 at McDermott Will & Emery in Düsseldorf, where he was a partner in Munich from 2008 to 2019 . He has been a partner of Jones Day in Düsseldorf since 2019 . In 2007 he became a specialist lawyer for labor law .
Since 2009 he has been a lecturer for Beck Verlag , the German Lawyers' Institute and Otto Schmidt Verlag . From 2009 to 2016 he was a lecturer in training as a specialist lawyer for labor law at the legal seminars in Bonn.
He has been teaching civil law , labor law and comparative law at the Fernuniversität Hagen since 2012 as a lecturer and from 2018 as an honorary professor .
He is on the board of the Working Group of Protestant Entrepreneurs and Pro Bono Deutschland e. V. His specialist knowledge is requested by numerous newspapers and magazines, for example by Wirtschaftswoche , FAZ and Börsenzeitung . He publishes regularly in legal journals with articles in Der Betrieb , Betriebs-Beratung , Neue Zeitschrift für Arbeitsrecht , Recht der Internationale Wirtschaft , Zeitschrift für Stiftungs- und Vereinwesen , GmbH-Rundschau , Der Staat , Zeitschrift für European law, international private law and comparative law , legal Worksheets and New Legal Weekly .
