Paul Pietsch (District Administrator)

Paul Georg Pietsch (born October 22, 1877 , † March 14, 1945 in Ilmenau ) was a German administrative lawyer in Prussia.

Life

Pietsch studied law at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . On November 9, 1899 , he reciprocated in the Corps Marcomannia Breslau, and distinguished himself as a senior in two semesters . He began as a court trainee in Friedland in Lower Silesia and Breslau . He was a court assessor and legal representative in Glatz and Neusalz . From 1914 to 1918 he served as an officer in the First World War. He received the Iron Cross II and I Class and was most recently a captain . During the war he was appointed magistrate in Freiburg in Silesia . From 1931 he worked as a district administrator in the Münsterberg district , province of Silesia . On August 19, he was appointed district administrator in the Frankenstein district with effect from October 1, 1932 . On October 1, 1933, he was provisionally and finally on May 9, 1934 appointed district administrator in the Brieg district. He was retired on June 30, 1944. Pietsch was a member of the German Center Party . He died at the age of 67 while on the run in Ilmenau.
