Weick belonged to the SC Minerva 93 Berlin as a midfielder , for whom he initially played from 1928 to 1933 in the Berlin championships organized by the Brandenburg Ball Game Clubs . In the competition, which was held in two groups, he finished his first season in Group A with his club in fourth place. In the following season, his club reached third place in Group B , then second. An increase followed on the end of season 1931/32 as winners of Group A . With this success he took part in the final round of the VBB and finished second with one point behind the Berlin tennis club Borussia . With this success, his team was entitled to participate in the final round of the German championship . But the opening event on May 8, 1932 in Munich's Heinrich-Zisch-Stadion against FC Bayern Munich , the eventual German champions, was lost 4-2 in the round of 16 .
