Paula Dworak
Paula Dworak , also Paula Dvorak (born August 8, 1913 in Vienna ; † September 24, 1995 there ) was an Austrian film editor .
biography
After completing her apprenticeship as a glue and editing assistant, Paula Dworak worked as an editor for cultural and documentary films until 1945. After the war she switched to feature films and created the final version for a number of low-quality entertainment films from the hands of experienced director veterans such as Georg Jacoby , Rudolf Jugert , Georg Tressler and RA Stemmle .
Her most important work was Helmut Käutner's 1954 anti-war film " The Last Bridge ", shot in Yugoslavia the previous year, which received hymns of praise and which she edited with colleague Hermine Diethelm .
From the mid-1950s onwards, Paula Dworak (until 1961) edited all the films in the Paula Wessely production, mostly in collaboration with her colleague Annemarie Reisebauer .
Paula Dworak has also worked for television occasionally, e.g. For example, in Axel Corti's avant-garde production ' Emperor Joseph and the Railway Warden 's Daughter ' with Hans Moser .
