Paulo Francisco Machado

Paulo Francisco Machado (born October 13, 1952 in Andorinhas ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Uberlândia .

Life

Paulo Francisco Machado was ordained a priest for the diocese of Petrópolis on December 11, 1977 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Juiz de Fora and titular bishop of Caliabria on May 12, 2004 . The Archbishop of Juiz de Fora, Eurico dos Santos Veloso , donated him episcopal ordination on July 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Alano Maria Pena OP , Archbishop of Niterói , and Filippo Santoro , Bishop of Petrópolis. He chose CHRISTO ET ECCLESIÆ as the motto .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on January 2, 2008 Bishop of Uberlândia.
