Paulo Sérgio , with full name Paulo Sérgio Bento Brito (born February 19, 1968 in Estremoz ), is a former Portuguese football player who worked as a striker for many Portuguese clubs such as B. FC Paços de Ferreira , CD Feirense and SC Olhanense , as well as in France with Grenoble Foot . He then began a career as a football coach and was, among other things, coach of the Portuguese top club Sporting Lisbon . In early August 2011 he took over the coaching position at the Scottish Premier League club Heart of Midlothian , which he left again in early June 2012. At the end of October 2012, he signed a contract with the Romanian first division and Champions League participant CFR Cluj . After the 2012/13 season he moved to Cyprus to take on the coaching position at APOEL Nicosia , although the club separated from him again in October 2013.
