Paulo de Almeida Ribeiro , called Paulinho or Paulinho de Almeida , (born April 15, 1932 , Porto Alegre , RS ; † July 11, 2007 in São Paulo , SP ) was a Brazilian football player and coach .

Career

Paulinho began his career in 1950 at Internacional Porto Alegre , where he played for four years. Then he went to Vasco da Gama in Rio de Janeiro .

In 1954 he was part of the team that lost the decisive group game for the World Cup against Uruguay .

After the end of his playing career, he coached numerous Brazilian clubs.

Paulinho died of Alzheimer's disease in São Paulo at the age of 75 .
