The Nigerian U-20 national soccer team is a selection team of Nigerian soccer players . It is subject to the Nigeria Football Federation and represents it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations or at the U-20 African Championships and U-20 World Championships .
The team became vice world champions in Saudi Arabia in 1989 and in the Netherlands in 2005 . In addition, she was African champion seven times: 1983 , 1985 , 1987 , 1989 , 2005 , 2011 and 2015 .
