Paulo de Sousa Pereira
Paulo de Sousa Pereira (born September 28, 1969 in Santo Tirso , Portugal ) is a Portuguese-born entrepreneur, founder and president of Realizar Worldwide Events, a company that produces large-scale events , TV programs and international live events. He lives in London .
Life
Paulo de Sousa Pereira studied architecture as well as psychology and received his doctorate in psychology with the topic "Creativity and Emotions". In addition to his studies, his passion, developed events to design and organize. During his studies he had already organized and produced events. In 1994 he held bungee jumping events with a crane on a bridge for the first time . He then founded Realizar with the aim of organizing global sports and culture events for public and private companies.
Pereira conceived projects within the framework of major international events for the Expo 98 in Lisbon , the Expo 2000 in Hanover and Porto , 2001 European Capital of Culture. He also designed the opening ceremony of the Games against Poverty Ronaldo & Friends vs. Zidanne & Friends and Figo All Stars, which took place in different countries. Over the years he has produced promotional campaigns for Land Rover , Vodafone , Estrella Galicia, Sunny Delight, Ikea , Mastercard , UEFA and Allianz SE .
In the field of architecture , he won the “Olympic Flame of the Lusophonie Games” competition and the international competition for the renovation of Bragança Castle in Portugal . He is a balloonist and president of the Portuguese balloonists association. He published two books about his hot air balloon rides.

World Events
- In 1999 he designed the promotion campaign for Portugal to host the 2004 European Football Championship . After Portugal's bid to host the European Championship, he designed and produced the inauguration of six new football stadiums in 2003.
- In 2007 he was responsible for the production and organization of the opening ceremony for the official announcement of the seven new wonders of the world, which took place in Lisbon . After several World Cup finals and the Olympic Games, this event was one of the most far-reaching events worldwide. In 2010 he designed, produced and directed the draw, the opening ceremony and the closing ceremony of the African Football Championship in Luanda , Angola .
