history

Pavlišov, which belonged to the old Bohemian Hradec Králové district , was mentioned in a list of places belonging to the Nachod rule at the end of the 15th century . Since it did not have its own house of worship, it belonged to the parish church of St. Laurentius in Náchod for pastoral care purposes. A list of subjects from 1651 lists nine families for Pavlišov, including four farmers and two gardeners . In 1836 Pavlišov consisted of 41 houses in which 286 people lived.

After the replacement of patrimonial in 1848 Pavlišov formed an independent municipality. From 1850 it belonged to the Neustadt an der Mettau district . In 1899 it was incorporated into the newly formed Nachod district. Since it was a few kilometers from the eastern border with the German Reich , defenses of the Czechoslovak Wall were built on the municipality from 1936 . During the communist rule in 1956, farmers were forced to work for the agricultural cooperative Jednotné zemědělské družstvo and to transfer their land, agricultural equipment and stables to them. In 1985 it was incorporated into the city of Náchod. On March 3, 1991 the place had 190 inhabitants; in the 2001 census, 187 people lived in Pavlišov's 76 houses.
