Pawlo Honczaruk
Pawlo Honczaruk ( Ukrainian Павло Гончарук ; born January 16, 1978 in Kornacziwka , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Kharkiv-Zaporizhia .
Life
Honczaruk studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary in Horodok . He received on 22 June 2002, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He graduated from the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw with a degree in canon law .
From 2002 to 2005 Honczaruk was parish vicar at the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kharkiv . In 2005 he was married defender of the bond at the church court of the Diocese of Kamyanets-Podilskyi until 2016 Judge of this court was. From 2010 to 2016, Pawlo Honczaruk was pastor in Dunajiwzi . Honczaruk has also been diocesan caritas director since 2003 and diocesan economist since 2016.
On January 6, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Kharkiv-Zaporizhia. The apostolic nuncio in Ukraine , Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti , donated him episcopal ordination on February 14 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were the coadjutor bishop of Odessa-Simferopol , Stanislaw Schyrokoradjuk OFM , and the bishop of Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Maksymilian Leonid Dubrawski OFM.
