Three highways intersect in the place, Minnesota State Route 23 , Minnesota State Route 55, and Minnesota State Route 4 .
Paynesville is located on the North Fork of the Crow River and Lake Koronis . According to the United States Census Bureau , the place has an area of 3.4 km², all land.
Demographic data
The United States Census 2000 counted 2267 residents in 934 households and 594 families in Paynesville. The population density was 663.1 inhabitants / km². The number of residential units was 984, which corresponds to a density of 287.8 apartments / km².
