The Payroux is a river in France that runs in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises under the name Torigné near the hamlet of La Courade on the municipal boundary of Pressac and Pleuville , initially drains along the border between the departments of Vienne and Charente , then runs generally in a north-westerly direction through the department of Vienne and flows into it after around 20 kilometers as a left tributary the Clain .
