Per-Anders Sääf (born April 11, 1965 in Halmstad , Sweden ) is a former Swedish volleyball player .

Career

Per-Anders Sääf started playing volleyball at Gislaveds VBK. In 1986 he came to the German Bundesliga and played for Hamburger SV , with whom he was German champion in 1988 and German cup winner in 1989 . In his Bundesliga time he was constantly represented in the rankings of German volleyball . Then the middle blocker went to Italy and Greece and played in Bologna , in Gioia del Colle , in Castellana Grotte at PAOK Thessaloniki and in Catania .

Per-Anders Sääf played 394 times for the Swedish national team , making him a record player. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul , he finished seventh. He also took part in five European championships ( 1985 , 1987 , 1989 , 1991 and 1993 ) and two world championships ( 1990 and 1994 ).

Per-Anders Sääf was also active in beach volleyball and is now a volleyball trainer.
