Petříkov (German Peterswald ) is a district of the municipality Ostružná in the Czech Republic . It is located twelve kilometers west of Jeseník on the Polish border and belongs to the Okres Jeseník .
geography
Petříkov is located above the Ramsauer Pass at the foot of the Bielengebirge and Reichensteiner Mountains on the Branná . To the north rises Smrk ( Fichtlich , 1125 m) and in the northwest the Travná hora ( Wiesenberg , 1124 m).
Neighboring towns are Bielice in the north, Horní Lipová in the northeast, Ramzová in the east, Ostružná in the southeast, Adamov in the southwest and Velké Vrbno and Paprsek in the west.
history
Peterswald was founded in 1617 by Hans von Peterswald and the hoof register from 1677 shows twelve gardeners for the village . In 1834 202 people lived in the 32 houses of Peterswald.
After the abolition of patrimonial Peterswald formed from 1850 a district of the political community Spornhau / Spornava in the district administration Mährisch Schönberg . At this time, pyrite mining began and the first Austro-Hungarian zinc paint factory was built in Peterswald. Since 1854 school lessons took place in private houses and in 1915 a school house was built. In 1900 the village consisted of 39 houses and had 207 inhabitants. Mining ceased after the First World War. In 1918 a Czech minority school opened, which existed until 1938. After the Munich Agreement , the village was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district until 1945 . After the end of the Second World War, the German residents were expelled .
In 1950, only 43 people lived in Petříkov's 38 houses. In 1975 the place was incorporated into Branná . In 1990 it became part of the Ostružná municipality . In 1991 there were still five permanently inhabited houses in the village and the number of inhabitants had dropped to 16. Since 1996 Petříkov belongs to the Okres Jeseník . Petříkov is now a winter sports center. Several ski lifts and a bobsleigh run lead into the valley from the local mountain Ostružník to the southwest. In 2001 the village consisted of 8 houses in which 24 people lived.
