Peter Arnison

Peter Maurice Arnison AC CVO (born October 21, 1940 in Lismore , New South Wales ) is an Australian officer and politician .
He graduated from the Royal Military College Duntroon in 1962 . From 1994 to June 1996 he was Land Commander Australia of the Australian Defense Force . He was then adopted into retirement from the army.
From July 1997 to July 2003 he was Governor of Queensland .
Before becoming Governor of Queensland , he was General Manager of Allied Rubber Products for one year .
He is currently Chancellor of the Queensland University of Technology , a director of several companies and associations, and a director of the Australian Multicultural Foundation .
