Peter Eichhorn

Peter Eichhorn (born July 30, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German business economist. From 1981 he was Professor of Business Administration , in particular Public & Nonprofit Management, at the University of Mannheim . The end of the summer term 2007, he was 68 years emeritus .

education

Eichhorn began to study economics at the Julius Maximilians University . In 1960 he was reciprocated in the Corps Rhenania Würzburg . When he was inactive , he moved to the Free University of Berlin and the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . As a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation , he spent a year research at Harvard Business School and at the University of California at Berkeley . In 1967 he received his doctorate in Erlangen.

Career

In 1968 Eichhorn began his work as an assistant to Professor Ludwig Mülhaupt at the Westphalian Wilhelms University . At the age of 32, he completed his habilitation in 1972 in Münster. He received offers to the Free University of Berlin in 1972, to the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer 1972 to 1978, whose rector he was 1976/77, to the Johannes Kepler University of Linz and to the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he worked from 1978 to 1981 taught. Since 1981 he has been President of the Federal Association of German Administrative and Business Academies, VWA.

Memberships and other offices

From 2006 to 2008 he was President of Absolventum Mannheim - Graduate Network of the University of Mannheim e. V. In January 2010 he took over the presidency of the private SRH Hochschule Berlin until 2014 .
