Peter Fabuš (born July 15, 1979 in Ilava , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK Ertis Pawlodar in the Kazakh ice hockey league.

Career

Peter Fabuš began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the MHK Dubnica , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Slovak extra league in the 1996/97 season . With his team he rose in his rookie year in the first division , the second Slovak division. In this he prevailed as a regular at Dubnica and scored four goals and four assists in 38 games in the second division. The 1998/99 season spent the center at MsHK Žilina in the extra league . He then played for three years for HC Dukla Trenčín . Especially in the 2000/01 season he was able to convince when he was elected to the All-Star Team of the Extraliga. In his time at HC Dukla he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2000 in the ninth round as a total of 281st player by the Phoenix Coyotes , with their farm team Springfield Falcons he ended the 2001/02 season in the American Hockey League . The Slovakian also spent the 2002/03 season at the Springfield Falcons, but only completed 34 games in which he scored twelve points scorer, including five goals.

For the 2003/04 season Fabuš returned to HC Dukla Trenčín, with whom he was Slovak champion in the first year after his return . With 50 scorer points, including 26 goals, in a total of 64 games, he was one of the leading players in his team and was rewarded with being reelected to the All-Star Team of the Extraliga. In the 2004/05 season he was also active as a loan player in a game for the second division club ŠHK 37 Piešťany . The 2005/06 season began the left shooter at Mora IK in the Swedish Elitserien , for which he prepared two goals in 18 games. However, he ended the season at HC Oceláři Třinec in the Czech extra league . There he continued his career from 2006 to 2009 at HC Lasselsberger Plzeň . For the 2009/10 season he joined the BK Mladá Boleslav , with whom he only succeeded in relegation to relegation.

The 2010/11 season began Fabuš again at BK Mladá Boleslav, but returned to his Slovak homeland in January, where he received a contract with the top club HC Košice . With this he won the Slovak championship title at the end of the season. Especially in the playoffs he was a guarantee for winning the title when he scored twelve points scorer in 14 games, including three goals. In November 2011 he then moved to HC Dukla Trenčín within the Slovakian Extra League, for whom he played until October 2012. He was then signed by HK Nyoman Hrodna from the Belarusian extra league, with whom he won the Belarusian championship title at the end of the 2012/13 season . After this success he moved to HK Ertis Pawlodar from the Kazakh ice hockey league .

International

Fabuš took part in the 2008 World Cup for Slovakia . During the tournament he prepared two goals in five games.
