Peter Goerke Mallet (* 21st August 1955 in Schneverdingen ) is a German mining - engineer . From 1994 to 2012, he was chief mine surveyor of the mine Ibbenbüren .

Life

Peter Goerke-Mallet comes from the Lüneburg Heath . Ilse Goerke-Mallet's son, née Kellermann and Christian-Friedrich Goerke-Mallet, grew up on his parents' farm in Tütsberg in Heber , where he also went to elementary school. From 1966 to 1975 he attended the Soltau grammar school , where he passed his Abitur. After completing his military service, he began his training in the Ibbenbüren coal mine of Preussag on October 4, 1976 . Goerke-Mallet studied from 1977 to 1983 at the Technical University of Clausthal , where he obtained a degree in engineering specializing in mine surveying. He completed his two-year legal traineeship at the Oberbergamt in Clausthal-Zellerfeld as an assessor in mine separation.

In Germany's northernmost hard coal mine, whose north shaft is one of the deepest shafts in Europe with a depth of 1550 meters, Goerke-Mallet's area of ​​responsibility fell in addition to the planning and surveying activities associated with mining, as well as looking after the underground infrastructure with a network of around 90 kilometers . In addition, he was involved in exploratory drilling in the course of prospecting for exploration programs, the appraisal of mountain damage and the recultivation of mine dumps.

In addition to the position of Head of the Markscheiderei, which he gave up in 2012, Goerke-Mallet was responsible for the gas outbreak prevention department from 2002 to 2007 , was appointed press spokesman for RAG Anthrazit Ibbenbüren GmbH at the beginning of 2009 and in 2011 also took over the management of the internal communication department . He also belonged to the mine rescue at the Ibbenbürener mine, for which he, the 2004 mine rescue Honor Badge was awarded the Badge of Honor and Silver. From 2012 he was in charge of the special project "Old mining / flooding / long-term dewatering of Ibbenbüren mine", which was also geared towards the post-mining period.

In April 2013 Peter Goerke-Mallet took early retirement .

From 2001 to September 2011 he was chairman of the professional association Deutscher Markscheider-Verein eV (DMV) . For many years he was a member of the executive committee of the GDMB Society for Mining, Metallurgy, Raw Material and Environmental Technology eV , to which he belonged in his function as DMV representative, and for some time also as deputy president. However, in 2009 he made his seat available for professional reasons.

In addition, he also worked on a local level in the Steinfurt district in various committees, for example in the Local Action Group (LAG) Tecklenburger Land.

Goerke-Mallet has been teaching surveying technology for geologists as well as for mining approval procedures at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster since 2002 . Since 2013 he has also been a lecturer for geoengineering and post-mining at the Georg Agricola Technical College for raw materials, energy and the environment in Bochum .

He is the author of numerous articles in specialist journals on the mining industry and in scientific conference proceedings, not least on the question of convergence behavior and the reduction in convergence through injection measures in mining.
