Peter Heuser (politician)

Peter Heuser (born September 13, 1865 in Herchen / Siegkreis ; † April 1, 1930 in Wiesbaden ) was Lord Mayor of Recklinghausen .

Life

After graduating from high school, Peter Heuser did his military service as a one-year volunteer with the 1st Rhenish Infantry Regiment No. 25 in Strasbourg and was first lieutenant in the Landwehr . After the assessor exam in 1892, he took up work at the Siegburg District Court before becoming an alderman for the city of Bonn . In 1895 he received the certificate of appointment as first alderman. His election as mayor of the city of Recklinghausen fell on August 5, 1904. On October 18 of that year, Heuser was introduced into office. He was appointed Lord Mayor in 1907. He remained in this position until he retired on June 15, 1919. Health reasons were decisive for his premature resignation from office.

From 1917 to 1919 Heuser was a member of the Westphalian Provincial Parliament .
