Peter Hey

Peter Hey (born November 8, 1914 in Vienna ; † December 9, 1994 ibid) was an Austrian actor , emcee and cabaret artist .

Life

Peter Hey attended grammar school, took speech and drama lessons, began at the Theater an der Wien , then went to Innsbruck , Graz , Zurich and Bern and worked from 1939 to 1945 as an operetta buffo and director at the Linz State Theater . After the Second World War he founded the cabaret "Eulenspiegel" in Linz. As an emcee in cabaret programs and humorous moderator in the radio station Rot-Weiß-Rot , in 1948 with Max Böhm in the program "Do not be happy too early". From 1972 to 1983 Hey was a member of the Vienna Volkstheater , where he interpreted his acting qualities in a traditional Viennese way in Schönherr roles such as “Weibsteufel”, “Erde”, Nestroy roles and in plays by Dürrenmatt , Anouilh or Brecht . He wrote radio plays and directed films (including "Schwindel am Wolfgangsee").

He rests in an honorary grave in the Hietzinger Friedhof (group 22, number 27) in Vienna.
