Peter Hilpold
Peter Hilpold (born 1965 ) is an Austrian legal scholar and professor of international and European law at the University of Innsbruck . He is the author of numerous publications.
Life
Hilpold studied law, economics and business administration . After graduating, he trained as a lawyer in Italy and passed his bar exam in 1992. He initially worked as a research assistant at the Institute for International Law and International Relations at the University of Innsbruck, then at the Institute for Public Law , Financial Law and Political Science . In 2001 he completed his habilitation in Innsbruck, where he was appointed associate professor. He later received the Venia docendifor international law, European law and comparative public law. In addition to the University of Innsbruck, he also teaches at the University of Padua . His research focuses on international law, European law, international business law and Italian tax law .
Hilpold is editor of the series "International Law, European Law, Comparative Law", which is published by Nomos and Schulthess . He is co-editor of the "Austrian Review of International and European Law", the journal " Europa Ethnica " and the series of publications "Völkerrecht, Europarecht und Internationales Wirtschaftsrecht" ( Peter Lang ). He is also a permanent contributor to the journal Archive of International Law and contributes to the Hague Yearbook of International Law .
honors and awards
Hilpold has received the Theodor-Körner-Preis , the Helmuth-James-von-Moltke-Preis (2001), the Kardinal-Innitzer-Förderungspreis für Rechts- und Staatswissenschaft (2001) and the Leopold-Kunschak- Prize (2002) awarded.
