Peter Kazár (born March 29, 1989 in Brezno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak biathlete .

Peter Kazár contested his first international races in 2006 as part of the European Junior Cup . He didn't finish his first sprint race in Martell . The first international championships were the 2007 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Martell, where he was 57th in the individual, 52nd in the sprint, 45th in the pursuit and ninth in the relay. A year later , the Slovak in Ruhpolding was 61st in the individual, 59th in the sprint, 52nd in the pursuit and 15th in the relay and thus achieved roughly the same placements as in the previous year. In the further course of the year, she participated in the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute-Maurienne . Kazár was 15th in the cross-country sprint and 26th in the sprint and 32nd in the pursuit on roller skis . Also in 2009 he took part in the Junior World Championships, which took place in Canmore that year . Kazár achieved here with a 66th place in the individual, place 52 in the sprint and the pursuit race and rank 13 with the relay once again similar performances as in previous years. It followed again a participation in the summer biathlon world championships , where the Slovak in Oberhof 27th in the sprint and 26th in the pursuit in cross-country and also 27th in the sprint and 25th in the pursuit and seventh in the mixed relay race on roller skis. The last Junior World Championships for Kazár were the 2010 World Championships in Torsby , where he was 76th in both individual and sprint.

2009 denied Kazár in Osrblie his first race with the men and was in the IBU Cup in a sprint 46. At the same place it was two years later, 43 of a function SINGLE, reaching its best-ever placing in the race series. Shortly before , the Slovak made his debut in Antholz in the biathlon world cup and was 90th in a sprint race and with Dušan Šimočko , Matej Kazár and Pavol Hurajt 16th in the relay competition. The first international championship was the 2012 Biathlon European Championships in Osrblie. There Kazár was 42nd of the individual, 53rd of the sprint, 55th of the pursuit and with Martin Otčenáš , Tomáš Hasilla and Norbert Gröne as the last runner of the season 12th.

Nationally, Kazár won the silver medal in the sprint championships in 2011 behind Norbert Gröne and the title in the mass start race. In 2012 , a bronze medal in the mass start was added behind Otčenáš and Hasilla.
