Peter Kerp (politician, 1919)
Peter Kerp (born December 27, 1919 in Neukölln near Berlin ; † September 14, 1997 in Berlin) was a German politician ( CDU ).
Peter Kerp attended grammar school at Lietzensee and passed his Abitur there in 1938 . He studied medicine at the University of Berlin . Kerp was drafted by the Wehrmacht , but was able to take the medical state examination in February 1945 .
After the Second World War , Kerp opened his own doctor's practice in May 1945 , and at the same time he was a ward doctor in the Kreuzberg hospital in Am Urban . He joined the CDU in 1946 and was elected to the District Assembly (BVV) in Kreuzberg in the Berlin election in 1948 . From 1950 he was the chairman of the Berlin Doctors Interest Group. Since Erich Steinbeck was elected to the district councilor for health in Kreuzberg, Kerp moved up to the Berlin House of Representatives in March 1951 . Also four years later he moved up for Steinbeck in parliament. In 1957 he left the CDU parliamentary group and joined the Free German People's Party (FDV). On July 1, 1952, together with the "Kampfleitung der Berliner Ärzte", he led the social security doctors Berlin to a "non-contracted state", so that they no longer accepted health certificates from the "Versicherungsanstalt Berlin" as a treatment card.
