Peter Mieden
Peter Mieden (born July 30, 1882 in Roes , † February 17, 1962 in Moselsürsch ) was a German farmer , agricultural functionary and politician ( German Center Party , CDU ) in Rhineland-Palatinate .
Life
Peter Mieden's father Peter Mieden and mother Anna Maria Mieden, b. Spengler died when he was a toddler. He grew up as an orphan with relatives in Moselsürsch and later took over their farm.
The farmer married his wife Katharina, born on May 5, 1920 in Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein . Moritz. The three daughters Hedwig, Maria and Johanna emerged from this marriage.
Before the Second World War , Mieden was a member of the district board of farmers in the Mayen district and until 1928 chairman of the local farmers' association in Moselsürsch. In 1928 he became a board member of the Chamber of Agriculture in Koblenz.
From 1927 to 1930 Mieden also acted as a member of the expert committee at the state tax office in Cologne in the unit assessment for the Rhine Province . He was also the chairman of the domestic savings and loan fund .
In the post-war period he became a co-founder of the Mayen farmers and winegrowers ' association and, as district chairman, led this association from February 11, 1948 to February 25, 1953.

Honors
For his special merits, Peter Mieden was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany , among other awards, on January 4, 1956 .
The President of the Rhineland-Nassau Farmers and Winegrowers Association awarded Mieden on December 19, 1958, in recognition of his outstanding services to the establishment and promotion of the professional organization, the golden badge of honor of this regional association . Several years earlier, on May 7, 1931, Mieden was awarded the Silver Badge of Honor for 25 years of membership by the central office of the Association of the Rhenish Farmers' Association and the Rhenish Rural Federation in Cologne.
