Peter Oehme (actor)
Peter Oehme (born January 11, 1920 in Dresden , † July 2001 in Jena ) was a German actor and theater director .
He graduated from high school in 1938 and, after a short period of military service, attended the drama school in Dresden from 1940 to 1941. In 1942 he got an engagement at the Städtische Bühnen Leipzig, where he stayed until 1949. His roles here included Ruprecht in Der zerbrochne Krug , Major von Tellheim in Minna von Barnhelm , the title character in Don Carlos and Wurm in Kabale und Liebe .
From 1949 to 1952 he worked on the stages of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck , where he could be seen in 1950 as Brackenburg in Egmont . From 1952 to 1956 he worked at the municipal theaters of Freiburg im Breisgau , among other things as the title character in Goldoni's The Liar . From 1956 to 1964 he was part of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Zürich , where he later made several guest appearances. Here he embodied, for example, Valentin in Faust and Streckmann in Rose Bernd .
Since 1968 he has given guest performances at the Düsseldorf Comedy and has also worked as a director, including at the Aachen Theater . From 1962 Oehme was an actor in television, especially in theater adaptations. His daughter is the actress Franziska Oehme .
