Peter Bill Sadler (born March 29, 1941 - December 19, 2009 ) was a British racing car driver .

Career

Peter Sadler was active as a sports car driver in the 1960s and was best known for his work with the Ford GT40 . His first racing cars were the Lotus 23 and 30 models . In 1966 he achieved his first notable success with tenth place overall in the RAC Tourist Trophy (winner Denis Hulme in a Lola T70 ).

In 1968 he entered the World Sports Car Championship with the Ford . He made his debut with partner Willie Green and finished 22nd overall in the 1000 km race at the Nürburgring . The highlight of the year was third place overall in the 1000 km race in Paris at the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry . However, the race was not part of the world championship.

In 1969 , in addition to the starts in the world championship, there was also a one-off event at the 24-hour race in Le Mans . After damage to the electrical system on the GT40, he had to give up the race early.
