Peter Tholse (born October 6, 1965 in Katrineholm , Sweden ) is a former Swedish volleyball player .

Career

Peter Tholse started with volleyball in his native Nyköping . Later he went to Stockholm Randverein Sollentuna VK, with which he was three times Swedish champion. In 1987 the middle blocker moved to the Belgian league to Knack Randstad Roeselare . In 1988 he came to the German Bundesliga and played for Hamburger SV , with whom he won the German Cup in 1989 . In his Bundesliga time he was constantly represented in the rankings of German volleyball . Then Peter Tholse went to Italy and played in Mantua , Sant'Antioco and Spoleto .

Peter Tholse played 370 times for the Swedish national team . At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul , he finished seventh. He also took part in five European championships ( 1985 , 1987 , 1989 , 1991 and 1993 ) and two world championships ( 1990 and 1994 ).

Peter Tholse's son Linus also plays volleyball.
