Petr Hapka
Petr Hapka (born May 13, 1944 in Prague ; † November 25, 2014 in Okoř , Czech Republic ) was a Czech musician and composer .
biography
Petr Hapka studied violin and singing at the Prague Conservatory and also acting under the direction of Oldřich Nový . Already during his studies he made music in different theaters and played for different bands. However, he also concentrated on composing for television and film productions. His first known film composition was for the 1973 science fiction film Aktion Bororo, directed by Otakar Fuka . For his compositions on the two films Hanele and Fimfárum Jana Wericha , Hapka was nominated for the best film music for the Czech film award, the Bohemian Lion , in 2000 and 2003 .
Parallel to his film work, Hapka also wrote and composed songs for Czech musicians such as Karel Gott , Hana Hegerová and Lucie Bílá .
Petr Hapka was married twice and had seven children.
