Petr Hrubý (born April 2, 1974 in Ostrava , Czechoslovakia ) is a former German - Czech ice hockey player who was active as a striker for EV Regensburg , the Dresdner Eislöwen and Saale Bulls Halle , among others .

Career

Hruby has been playing ice hockey in Germany since 1998, initially for five years at EV Regensburg in the Oberliga and 2nd Bundesliga . For the 2002/03 season he moved back to the major league with the Dresden Ice Lions . With the Eislöwen team, he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2005 - this was also his season with the best points in the Eislöwen jersey. Nevertheless, he no longer played a role in the squad planning of manager Jan Tabor , so that Hruby moved to the Saale Bulls Halle in the regional league . In summer 2006 he moved to league rivals Rostocker EC . On the Baltic Sea , Petr Hruby was the most successful scorer of his team and was one of the best players in the Regionalliga Nordost.

The Rostock Piranhas were de facto already established in January 2007 as a league climber and gave the early release for a transfer fee for Hrubý, who moved back to the Dresdner Eislöwen to replace the injured David Musial . After leaving the Dresdner Eislöwen, he first played in Poland at the Ekstraliga club STH Zagłębie Sosnowiec . Before the 2009/10 season Hrubý went back to the Saale Bulls Halle, for which he played until the end of the season.
