Petr Kostenko ( Kazakh Петр Костенко ; Russian Пётр Евгеньевич Костенко ; born February 16, 1976 in Qostanai ) is a Kazakh chess player and coach .

He won the Kazakh Individual Championship four times: 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2016. He played for Kazakhstan at seven Chess Olympiads : 1998 to 2002 and 2012 to 2018 , winning the individual silver medal on the first reserve board at the 1998 Chess Olympiad in Elista . He also took part in the Asian team championships three times (2003, 2014 and 2016) and once in the team world championship (1997).
