history

The parish was founded in the Middle Ages. The original church was probably a fortified church in the past . The current building dates from the 16th century and was changed in baroque style. An extension took place in 1899, and a complete restoration between 1971 and 1977.

Church building

The church is a hall with two-tier buttresses . The nave windows are narrow. In the crown of the window, angel heads can be seen as ornaments. The choir is drawn in opposite the nave and the apse ends in the 5/8 end . The west tower is three-story and has a stone helmet. In front of the tower portal is a pointed arched gate that leads to the staircase in the tower and to the gallery. The gate dates from the 16th century. In front of the south portal is a porch with a curved gable .

The nave of the church has five bays. Above it is a barrel vault with narrow stab caps . The shield arches are ogival. The belt arches rest on square pilasters . The three-axis gallery has a straight parapet and is square vaulted . The triumphal arch is rounded.

Furnishing

The popular altar has a modern design. A picture of St. Andrew from 1943 hangs on the apse wall. On the side are baroque statues of St. Peter and St. Paul from the 18th century.

The left side altar is neo-Romanesque . In the middle there is a statue of Maria Immaculata . To the side there are statues of Saints Nicholas of Bari and Ambrose from the third quarter of the 18th century. The pulpit dates from the 19th century. On it are figures of the four evangelists and a statue of the Savior from the 18th century. There is a crucifix from the 18th century in the tower porch .
