The parish church Leopoldskron-Moos is located at Moosstrasse No. 73 in the Leopoldskron-Moos district in the municipality of Salzburg . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to the patronage of Maria Hilf , belongs to the city dean of Salzburg of the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).
history
The church was built from 1853 to 1858 according to the plans of the architects Otto Laschensky and Jacob Götz. The church was statically refurbished and restored from 1973 to 1981.
architecture
The church is an early historical hall building with a recessed polygonal apse and an exposed west tower . The outer walls have high arched windows and are structured with corner pilasters and an arched frieze . The tower has a pointed gable helmet and shows a fresco of St. Maria the painter Poldi Wojtek (1954).
The four-bay nave has a barrel vault on girders and pilasters . The two-story west gallery has chamfered marble pillars. The apse with a triangle has a barrel vault. The windows have studs with tracery shapes with ornamental glazing from the construction period. Sebastian Stief (1856) painted the mural Coronation of Mary in the apse vault .
Furnishing
The high altar around 1858 is an early historical retable with a relief tondo Maria Hilf and bears the statuettes of St. Georg, Leonhard, Sebastian, Florian and to the side the statues of St. Rupert, Virgil, Gregor (?) And Hieronymus.
There are two altarpieces , on the left a crucifix with Mary, on the right Annunciation, both from the end of the 18th century by the painter Josef Lederwasch from Pfarrwerfen. A picture of the Guardian Angel painted by Francesco Viacavi (1680) is in safe custody.
The pulpit around 1858 shows reliefs of the four evangelists .
The organ with a neo-Gothic prospect was built by Franz Weber (1873).
