The Roman Catholic parish church of Pill stands in the middle of the municipality of Pill in the Schwaz district in Tyrol . The parish church of St. Anna belongs to the dean's office Schwaz in the diocese of Innsbruck . The church and the cemetery with a war memorial are under monument protection .

history

The church was built from 1516 to 1518. In 1594 a curate was named. In 1891 the church was elevated to a parish church.

architecture

The nave and the choir are the same width. The choir closes with a five-eighth ending . The pointed arch windows have tracery . There are two Gothic portals . There is an iron door around 1518. The Gothic tower from 1516 has a baroque, eight-sided attachment with an onion helmet by Jakob Flörl (1718).

The three-bay nave received a barrel vault with Jakob Schweikart (1713) . After the pointed arched choir arch, the two-bay choir with a stitch cap vault follows.

The vault frescos were painted by Christoph Anton Mayr (around 1750), in the choir Anna with the holy clan and apostles, in the nave, the sacrificial passage of Mary and the adoration of Anna with Mary and the Trinity.

Furnishing

The high altar bears a cross that has not changed since the 16th century and the figure of the Madonna by Ludwig Penz (around 1900). To the side of the left choir arch is a cast stone Pietà (1494) and on the right Anna herself third (around 1515). On the choir wall is the picture Crucifixion by Franz Plattner (1878) and a wooden epitaph Trinity for Daniel Frey 1587 after Albrecht Dürer . The Way of the Cross was created in 1973.

One bell is named Hans Christof Löffler 1580. One bell is marked Heinrich Reinhart 1603.

In the cemetery chapel there is a pietá with the inscription “Wopfner 1833”.
