Phil Healy (born November 19, 1994 in Ballineen , County Cork ) is an Irish sprinter .

Athletic career

In 2013 Phil Healy took part in a major international event, the U20 European Championships in Rieti , for the first time. She finished fourth over 100 meters and was eliminated in the preliminary round over 200 meters. In 2014 she qualified for the European Championships in Zurich , where she was eliminated over 100 meters in the preliminary run and also did not reach the final with the Irish relay. In 2015 she took part in the IAAF World Relays 2015 in the Bahamas , where she retired with the 4 x 100 meter relay in the first round and finished fifth with the 4 x 200 meter relay. At the U23 European Championships in 2015 in Tallinn , Estonia , she was eliminated in the preliminary round in the 100 meter run and did not end the final run with the relay. At the European Championships in Amsterdam in 2016 , she was eliminated in the qualifying round with both the 4 x 100 meter relay and the 4 x 400 meter relay. In 2017 she took part in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade , where she reached the semi-finals over 60 meters and eliminated over 400 meters in the preliminary round. At the World Student Games in Taipei , she finished seventh over 200 meters.

In 2018 she qualified over 400 meters for the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , where she was eliminated in the semifinals with 53.26 seconds. In August she reached the semi-finals at the European Championships in Berlin over 100 and 200 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.46 s and 23.23 s respectively. In addition, she did not reach the final with the relay in 43.80 s. The following year she reached the semifinals at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow over 400 meters, in which she was eliminated with 53.65 s. In July she was sixth over 200 meters in 23.44 s at the Summer Universiade in Naples . At the World Championships in Doha , she retired over 200 meters with 23.56 s in the preliminary round .

In 2017 and 2019 Healy became Irish champion in the 200-meter run and in 2014 over 100 meters. In the hall she secured the title over 400 meters from 2017 to 2019. She was victorious over 60 meters in 2016, as well as over 200 meters. Her sister Joan Healy is also a sprinter.
