Philip Fotheringham-Parker (born September 22, 1907 Beckenham , † October 15, 1981 in Beckley ) was a British racing driver .

Career

Philip Fotheringham-Parker was a factory director and competed in motor racing in his spare time. His greatest achievement in the 1940s was second place in the Wakefield Trophy in Curragh.

In 1951 he drove a Maserati 4CLT the Grand Prix of Great Britain and had to retire the race after a defect in the oil pump. A week later he won the Scottish Grand Prix with the same car , a sparsely occupied side race that was not part of the Automobile World Championship . In addition to the Monte Carlo Rally , which he contested in a Ford Zephyr in 1954 , he competed in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1953 . With Sydney Allard he drove the Allard J2X. The duo was in the lead for a short time before a brake defect forced them to give up.
