Philip Petermann (born August 3, 1991 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

Petermann began his active career as a football goalkeeper in mid-February 1998 in the junior division of SV Hirschstetten in Hirschstetten , one of Vienna's 89 cadastral communities. At the club from the 22nd district of Vienna, Donaustadt, he went through several youth league classes before moving to the youth department of FK Austria Wien in June 2005, where he also attended the Frank Stronach Academy from the same year .

With the youth teams, Petermann often placed in the top third of the table and celebrated the championship title in his first season with the U-15 team. Later he was active in the U-17 team with whom he celebrated the championship title at the end of the 2006/07 season. In the 2007/08 season he was active for the U-19 team of the club for the first time. Born in Vienna, he made his team debut on May 17, 2008 when he came into play for Czech - Slovak Jakub Jakubov from the 46th minute in the 2: 4 away defeat against the Rapid Wien youth team . At the end of the championship, the team reached second place in the table and was allowed to call themselves runner-up in the 2007/08 season. During the same season, the young goalkeeper was engaged as a cooperation player at SV Wienerberg , but did not play a single competitive game.

During the 2008/09 season, Petermann came to regular appearances in the U-19 team, for which he finally won on May 24, 2009 in a 4-0 home win over the U-19 selection of the BNZ (Federal Youth Center) Tyrol rewarded himself with the goal to make it 4-0 in the 87th minute of the game. The young goalkeeper made 14 league appearances in the season. In the summer break after the 2008/09 season, Petermann was in a test match against FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the line-up of the Bundesliga team of FK Austria Wien, but was not used.

Also in the 2009/10 season, Petermann is an integral part of the U-19 team of Wiener Austria; the team leads the table of the Toto- sponsored U-19 youth league for the 2009/10 winter break . Before the 2009/10 season , the then 18-year-old signed a professional contract with the amateurs of FK Austria Wien with play in the second-class first division. He made his professional debut on July 17, 2009 in the 3-0 away defeat against FC Lustenau 07 , when he guarded the goal for the entire duration of the game.

In his third professional appearance on November 6th, 2009 against Wacker Innsbruck , Petermann had to leave the field early after he committed a goal robbery with a foul on Julius Perstaller in the 58th minute and was consequently punished with a red card . On the same evening, the Austria substitute goalkeeper of this game, Günther Arnberger , celebrated his professional debut; the game was lost 5-0 in front of their own audience in the Franz-Horr-Stadion . The match winner of the evening was Marcel Schreter , who was involved in all five goals (2 goals, 3 assists).

For the 2010/11 season, Petermann moved to the regional division FC Pasching . After a year with the Upper Austrians, he moved to the Regionalliga-Ost-Verein SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 in 2011 . For the 2012/13 season he moved to the second division club SV Horn . With the Hornern, he had to relegate to the regional league in 2015. After only one season in the Regionalliga Ost, however, it was possible to move up to the second division again. After 74 league games for Horn, Petermann moved to the regional division SC Mannsdorf in January 2017 .

National team

Petermann made his debut for an Austrian youth team when he played for Austria's U-17s . In total, he made four international appearances. At the end of August 2009, U-19 national coach Andreas Heraf called the young goalkeeper into the squad for a test match against the Slovenian U-19 national team on September 8, 2009. Petermann was in action from the start in the 5-1 win over Slovenia and was replaced in the 86th minute of play by Marc Baumgartner , goalkeeper for the amateur team from SK Austria Kärnten . To date, the native of Vienna has made four U-19 international appearances.
