Jakub Jakubov (born February 1, 1989 in Košice ) is a Czech football player on the goalkeeper position . In addition to Czech, he also has Slovak citizenship.
Club career
Jakubov started playing football at the Slovak club 1. FC Košice . In 2001 he moved to local rivals Lokomotíva Košice . At the age of 14 the goalkeeper moved to the Lower Austrian club SV Horn , after only one season he went to FK Austria Wien . In spring 2008 Jakubov was loaned to the regional league club SV Wienerberger . He then returned to Austria and completed three appearances in the first division in 2008/09 .
In July 2009 Jakubov moved to the Czech second division club FK Dukla Prague . The goalkeeper made his debut on August 14, 2009 in the game against MFK Karviná in the 2nd division. In early 2010 Jakubov was loaned out to third division club Spartak MAS Sezimovo Ústí for six months in order to collect match practice. With Sezimovo Ústí, the goalkeeper managed to move up to the 2nd division. Jakubov returned to Dukla in July 2010. In early 2011 he was loaned out again for half a year, this time to the second division club SK Kladno . This was followed by further positions at FK Mlada Boleslav , Viktoria Berlin , Budissa Bautzen and the Berlin AK .
On May 21, 2018, Chemnitzer FC announced the signing of Jakub Jakubov. With this club he rose from the Regionalliga Nordost to the 3rd division in 2019 .
National team
Jakubov was in the Czech squad for the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt , but was not used.
Others
In the second and third episodes of the Netflix in- house production “ Dogs of Berlin ”, Jakubov plays the goalkeeper of the German national team in a supporting role. The other national players are represented by players from three Berlin clubs.
