Philip Gregory Wheeler (* 12. December 1984 in Columbus , Georgia ) is an American American football poker players on the position of Outside linebackers . He currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Wheeler went to high school in Columbus , Georgia . He later went to the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta .

NFL

Indianapolis Colts

Wheeler was selected in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft in 93rd place by the Indianapolis Colts . He stayed here until 2011.

Oakland Raiders

On April 2, 2012, Wheeler signed a one-year contract with the Oakland Raiders . Here he had his best season so far, 3.0 sacks , 109 tackles and 6 defended passes .

Miami Dolphins

On March 12, 2013, Wheeler signed a five-year contract with the Miami Dolphins . However, he was released on March 10, 2015 after two seasons.

San Francisco 49ers

On April 30, 2015, he signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers , but was released on September 3, 2015, shortly before the start of the season.

Atlanta Falcons
