Philipp Maximilian Ungeheuer (born August 12, 1986 in Graz , Austria ) is a German actor . He began his career as a classical theater actor ; since 2010 he also took on film roles.

Life

Philipp Ungeheuer spent his childhood and youth in Kaufbeuren , Bavaria , where he attended the Jakob-Brucker-Gymnasium. During his school days he spent a year in the USA. After graduating from high school , he began his acting training at the renowned acting school in Charlottenburg in 2007. He successfully completed this at the beginning of 2010 with a diploma as a stage actor.

He played his first major roles during a stay in the USA in the 2002/2003 season at the Fox Theater in Atlanta , Georgia , where he initially took on the role of Adam in Mark Twain's short story Extracts from Adam's Diary , directed by Sande Oliver . Under his direction he also played Biff Jackson in 1940's Radio Hour based on Walton Jones . He also played the role of Jim in You Can't Take it With You, based on Jane Tomlinson's memoir, directed by Jake Dreiling.

From May to August 2006 he went on tour through Germany with an ensemble led by the director Cordula Trantow . Romeo played monster in William Shakespeare's love drama Romeo and Juliet . The performance was also shown on the ZDF theater channel . In the program presentation, ZDF described monsters as "highly talented actors".
