Pinhal Novo is a Portuguese freguesia in the district (concelho) Palmela with 25,000 (as of June 30, 2011) inhabitants on 54.4 km², that is 459 per km².

The place is located on the Península de Setúbal halfway between Lisbon and Setúbal .

Pinhal Novo Railway Cross

It is located on two expressways that connect Lisbon to the south and has a new train station, from which, since October 2004, the Lisbon subway network can be reached in half an hour. Pinhal Novo is close to the Arrabida National Park and has a diversified infrastructure with shopping centers including the Forum Montijo and the free port of Alcochete .
