Tampa Bay Storm (1991-present)
Since its inception or relocation, Tampa Bay Storm has played in the Arena Footbal League (AFL) and has won the ArenaBowl , the AFL's championship final , five times .
Tampa Bay Storm were acquired by Jeffrey Vinik's Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment Group in 2010. This also owns the Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey team .
On December 22, 2017, the Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment Group announced that the franchise would not participate in the 2018 season. The reasons are the few games and the resulting lack of audience income. She also complained about the ongoing structural problems of the AFL. However, they keep themselves open to send a team into the race again in the future.
