Pivec (from Hratschein and Klimstein) is the name of an old Moravian - Silesian noble family from the Principality of Opava , after their possessions there from the 16th century Pivec (Pivce, Piwecz) from Hratschein ( Hradčany in Czech ; 1936–45: Burgfeld; since 1945 Polish Gródczany ) and Klimstein (Czech Klimštejn; since 1945 Polish Jabłonka ).

The namesake first mentioned in the 14th century were Racek and Tomík. They were members of the high clergy of the Bishop of Ölmütz .

Received on September 9, 1551 by Johann Pivec in Prague, the coat of arms of the Pivec von Hratschein and Klimstein shows two black horns in a golden field. The helmet is also decorated with two black horns. The helmet cover is in gold and black.
